To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills or experience:We are seeking a motivated and experienced VP to join the Leveraged Finance team at Barclays in Sydney.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high deal volume environment on a broad range of financing transactions (leveraged finance, private credit) for a diverse set of clients (financial sponsors, corporates).As a VP, you will play a critical role in securing and executing financings. You will lead financial modelling and due diligence work streams, and prepare marketing and internal approval materials. Failing to disclose visa status or legal right to work may result in withdrawal of your application or employment offer.Purpose of the roleTo build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, expectations, and financial goals, and develop appropriate investment banking solutions for them and their companies.AccountabilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.Generate ideas and identify opportunities to expand the bank''s client base and create new business opportunities.Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation.Work with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.Collaborate with teams such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.Promote Energy Transition and Sustainability by engaging with clients on their climate, transition strategies, and sustainable finance opportunities where applicable.Vice President ExpectationsContribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and recommend changes. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage policies/processes; and ensure continuous improvements while escalating breaches.If managing a team, define roles and responsibilities, plan for future needs, counsel employees on performance, and contribute to compensation decisions.
