Job TitleSenior Claims Consultant, Protection, AustraliaJob DescriptionThe RoleThe primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality claims expertise and add value to Australian insurers.The role involves working with clients to provide technical expertise across all products, including assessment, support, and staff development where required.This role also requires assisting PLRA in building and supporting a claims proposition for the market that meets client needs and aligns with PLRAs strategic focus.DutiesAssessment of Life Insurance Claims across all products for Retail and Group cover, involving internal and external stakeholder management. Client service includes:Delivering high-quality service aligned with client Service Level AgreementsProviding credible technical support and activities consistent with client plansBuilding and maintaining effective relationships with clients and key stakeholdersDeveloping technical and personal skills to a high level. Supporting the Claims Manager on all claims-related issues.Assisting the Claims Manager in achieving team and company goals, as well as individual performance standards and objectivesAssisting in developing PLRAs profile and brand in Australia and internationally.Qualifications & ExperienceAt least 5 years of Claims Management experience in a Life (Re)insurerExperience handling claims for major AU products including Life cover, TPD, Critical Illness, and Income ProtectionExperience managing non-disclosure cases and legally represented claimsProgression towards or completion of the Claims diplomaGood knowledge of Life & Disability Insurance regulations and claims practicesWorking For Pacific Life ReWe value the unique qualities each team member brings and aim to build expertise and support individual ambitions.
