The ALC is a future-forward Land Council, directed by the 14 clans of the Groote Archipelago region, enabling the Anindilyakwa people to take full advantage of the opportunities and technology available in the 21st century, while simultaneously preserving land, language and culture.The vision of the ALC is to:Protect, maintain and promote Anindilyakwa culture;Invest in the present to build a self-sufficient future; andCreate pathways for youth to stand in both worlds.About the role:The Mens Activity and Cultural Coordinator manages the daily operations of the Mens Shed and Mens Art Program, unique programs of the ALC, and supports the skills development for users of the programs. The Mens Shed offers Anindilyakwa men a space to connect and participate in hands on activities, such as timber work and ceremonial paint making. Additionally providing a place for community participation and the sharing of cultural knowledge and skills.
