Site Manager Open Pit Mining Operations (Mid West WA)Residential Preferred | FIFO or DIDO (8:6 Roster) | Mid West WAAre you a proven leader in open pit mining operations, ready to take the reins of a well-established site with a high-performing team? Our client, a global leader in the industrial minerals sector, is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to oversee their premier mining and processing operation in the stunning Mid West region of Western Australia.About the RoleAs Site Manager, youll be responsible for the end-to-end management of all site activities, including production, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and asset management. With a strong commitment to operational excellence, your leadership will ensure safe, sustainable, and efficient extraction and processing of garnet-rich dune sands through open-cut mining methods.This role is residentially based in the Mid West region (Kalbarri area), offering a rewarding lifestyle and strong community connection. However, FIFO or DIDO arrangements will be considered for the right candidate on an 8:6 roster.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage site operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standardsDrive continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and logisticsOversee the management and utilisation of all site assets and equipmentCultivate and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all teamsEngage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and community goalsDevelop site budgets, manage costs, and deliver on operational KPIsAbout You:Proven experience in managing open pit mining operations, ideally within mineral sands or similarStrong background in leading multidisciplinary teams across production and maintenanceExceptional understanding of mine safety, environmental standards, and statutory complianceAbility to foster a positive culture grounded in safety, teamwork, and accountabilityEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsRelevant qualifications in Mining, Engineering, or related disciplinesWhy Join?Our client is renowned for its strong values, inclusive culture, and safety-first approach.
