Contribute to delivering on ASIC''s purpose, vision, and strategic priorities to help maintain the integrity of the financial system and protect consumers from harm.ASIC''s Data, Analytics, and AI Group is seeking a seasoned Data Quality (DQ) Lead dedicated to maintaining data accuracy, consistency and completeness in an enterprise setting.Sydney or Melbourne locationPermanent Full-time PositionSalary from $131,725 to $144,386 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuationApplications will close at 11:59pm AEST, Friday 16 May 2025The teamThe Data Governance team at ASIC is responsible for managing all aspects of the organisation''s data governance framework and strategy. They work with business and technical stakeholders to establish data policies, principles, and standards, optimising data capture, security, sharing, and usage. The team also oversees a program to protect ASIC''s data assets and manage risk.The roleThe Data Quality (DQ) Lead will primarily be responsible for the design and implementation of robust data quality strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the organisation. This role requires close collaboration with the Data Governance team, particularly the DQ Specialist (Registries), Data Stewards, and the Compliance and Assurance Analyst, to achieve these objectives effectively.More specifically, you will:Design and implement a data quality management and assurance program for ASIC''s data holdings.Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data stewards and business stakeholders.Define, implement, and monitor data quality standards and metrics, reporting on trends and issues.Develop and maintain the Data Quality roadmap for implementing data quality assurance.Collaborate with data stewards, business stakeholders, IT teams, and other data professionals to ensure data quality throughout the data lifecycle.Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality standards, policies, and processes in alignment with ASIC''s data governance framework and strategy.About youThe ideal candidate for the Data Quality (DQ) Lead role at ASIC will be a seasoned data professional with a strong background in areas such as data management, data manipulation and data quality management. They will also have a proven track record of ensuring data accuracy, consistency and completeness within a complex enterprise environment.In addition, you will have:Bachelor''s or Postgraduate degree in data science, computer science, information management, data management, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.Experience in identifying, analysing, reporting, and managing data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and validity, and providing recommendations for system and process improvements.Proven experience in implementing data quality strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps, with adherence to data governance principles and standards.Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Proficiency in data, reporting, and analytics methods, processes and tools.Well-developed problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.Experience with Data Governance applications such as Collibra or similar Data Governance tools is highly regarded.Click apply'' to start your application.
