About The Role Storeperson/ Technician, Full-Time Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Burwell team as a Storeperson/ Technician. In this full-time role, you will be a vital part of the team in Newcastle, assisting in warehouse operations. Once trained in our products, you will also lead the growth of our Newcastle hire division by servicing Burwell equipment. You will also be required to complete any ad hoc duties necessary for our branch to achieve success. Dont worry if you dont have servicing knowledge; we provide full training and support. We seek applicants who are eager and willing to learn, have a mechanical interest or aptitude, a hardworking attitude, and want to be a key part of the Newcastle team. You will work in a small team, reporting to the Newcastle Branch Manager. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders Unload and load trucks Conduct stocktakes Maintain general cleanliness of the warehouse Assist with hire equipment division Perform basic servicing of branch hire equipment Dispatch and receipt of hire equipment Organize transportation of received products Maintain a safe work environment Stock shelf maintenance Review orders before and after delivery for completeness Maintain accurate records and documentation Answer inquiries Assist other staff as needed Grow existing and new customer accounts Perform other duties as directed by the Warehouse and Branch Managers What Youll Need To Succeed Valid drivers license Comfortable with computers and learning new systems Minimum 2 years warehouse experience Own transportation Experience operating a forklift Some mechanical aptitude or interest Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and MYOB Strong communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Previous manual handling experience (highly desirable) Ability to work independently and in a team Honest, reliable, and hardworking Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve Knowledge of the industry (advantageous) Ability to lift up to 25kg Customer service experience (preferable) Ability to work unsupervised Ability to identify customer pain points and address needs Excellent communication skills at all levels Think quickly and adapt We offer extra benefits such as an additional day of leave, which we call our "Thank You Day."
