Specialist Technician Candidates - Technical Support to Schools Program Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician - TSSP / Education Sector Bytewize is seeking highly experienced IT professionals to fill contract and ongoing employment positions within our company. Successful candidates will be employed by Bytewize to provide ongoing technical support services to the Department of Education through the Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP). Bytewize has over 25 years of experience and is a long-standing panel member of the TSSP. Note: These are not entry-level positions. All candidates must have a minimum of 5 years industry experience, including previous experience within the TSSP program, extensive experience in the education sector, or equivalent corporate industry experience. The roles involve managing IT infrastructure within Department of Education schools, including administration of network and server infrastructure and providing ICT support to staff and students in large learning environments. Essential Technical Skills Managing and servicing Windows and Apple devices on an enterprise scale Administration and support of Hyper-V virtualized server environments Support of Windows and Linux servers Cloud service management (Google and Microsoft) Mobile Device Management deployment Enterprise network administration (Cisco and HP switches) Cisco wireless network technologies (controllers and access points) Excellent communication skills Support for enterprise desktops and notebooks Experience in SOE and image deployment with troubleshooting skills Experience in educational settings or similar enterprise environments Knowledge of Department and TSSP initiatives Deployment and management of 1:1 and BYOD devices Planning and delivering ICT professional development Technical documentation skills Personal Attributes Motivated, autonomous, and team-oriented professionals Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness Punctuality and organization Excellent interpersonal skills and passion for ICT Ability to follow technical documentation accurately Systematic troubleshooting skills Australian citizenship or permanent residency Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle Background checks required Remuneration and Benefits Pay rate based on skills and experience, with top rates $90,000-$110,000 annually Performance reviews for pay adjustments Options for ABN or TFN contract wages or salary Part-time and full-time roles available Additional benefits: company vehicle, training, and development Application Process Apply through online job boards and also email your application and resume directly to: employment@bytewize.com.au.
