McConnell Dowell Diona Joint Venture (MDJV) is one of three Major Framework Partners working together with our client to deliver a multi-billion Capital Delivery Program to improve water and sewerage services for South Australians. MDJV is seeking a motivated Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join our growing team. The role involves supporting the delivery of project environmental and sustainability requirements, objectives, and targets, promoting environmental awareness among project personnel, and fostering a strong environmental culture. You will join a highly skilled and dynamic team that values your development, understands work-life balance, and celebrates success. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of work and regional travel throughout beautiful South Australia. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Obtaining relevant permits, permissions, and approvals for access or works affecting the environment. Ensuring environmentally acceptable working methods and practices are implemented to prevent environmental harm. Reporting, investigating, and implementing corrective and preventive actions for environmental hazards and incidents within the agreed timescale. Supporting framework outputs for environmental incident investigations, including reporting and closing out corrective actions. Providing staff and workers with environmental knowledge, skills, and behaviors to work responsibly at all times. Providing technical environmental advice to onsite H&S Advisors, crews, and Framework staff. Conducting weekly environmental site inspections and recording findings. To be successful, you will need: A tertiary qualification in a relevant environmental field. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a civil construction environment.
