Your primary focus will be to build and maintain analytical tools to answer questions efficiently. You will work within a team of supply chain experts.This position maximizes value for BHP Iron Ore by:Leveraging dynamic simulation models and analytical tools to answer complex supply chain questionsValuing throughput impacts of productivity and minor capital initiativesSupporting the five-year planning processConstructing analytics solutionsProducing analysis outputsSupporting model development and benchmarking activitiesFostering a culture of innovation and seeking opportunities to enhance supply chain planning valueAbout YouIdeal candidates will have:A degree in STEM (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, Operations Research)Excellent communication skills to engage diverse audiences persuasivelyAbility to work in a team to achieve outcomesEffective prioritization and task execution in a fast-paced environmentAt least 2 years of data analysis experienceExperience working with large datasetsAdvanced experience with discrete event or agent-based simulation, preferably AnyLogicKnowledge of Python/R, SQL (desirable)Understanding of mining operations and practicesAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with pragmatic decision-making abilitiesOur ProcessWe are committed to fair employment practices.
