DigiRen is a community that enables great work and accelerated learning.Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Consultant for our Canberra practice, where we have a number of strategic engagements with Australian Federal Government clients. The successful candidate will excel in 3 key areas:a demonstrated background in the management of cloud technologies, with preference given to candidates who have successfully shaped multi-vendor cloud operating models;project and program management qualifications, skills and experience, with preference given to those with an understanding of transitioning to scaled Agile, Product Management and DevSecOps frameworks; andstellar EQ, with a particular focus on managing complex senior management relationships in challenging environments.In this role, you will drive the DigiRen team to deliver complex cloud programs, build strong stakeholder relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor, while managing cross-functional teams and ensuring delivery of high-impact outcomes.You must work well in ambiguous and challenging situations and be passionate about helping clients succeed. You will ensure that all stakeholders clearly understand the outcomes, deliverables, approach and timescales and that the DigiRen team builds and executes a strong plan to deliver valuable business outcomes for our clients. You must be seasoned at using data and insights to monitor performance and surface the right information to facilitate timely decision-making and drive continuous improvement in program delivery.At DigiRen, you will join an inclusive and welcoming team of technology leaders who are among the best in the business.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex cloud transformation programs from initiation to completion.Provide strategic cloud advisory services, including cloud readiness assessments, migration planning, and optimisation strategies.Develop strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to senior business and technical stakeholders, including managing expectations of a broad range of stakeholders.Oversee project governance, resource allocation, financial performance and reporting.Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions, and develop and present high-impact roadmaps, program reports, and recommendations to executive leadership.Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and technical leads to design and implement scalable cloud solutions.Establish and maintain best practices for cloud program management, including Agile, hybrid, or traditional methodologies.Contribute to IP development, including service offerings, frameworks, methodologies and other high-quality resources and content.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team engagement and participation.RequirementsExperience delivering real outcomes for technology programs in an external consulting role within the public sector, working with government clients in Canberra.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.7+ years of experience in IT consulting, with at least 5 years focused on leading technology program delivery, ideally cloud transformation or migration projects involving AWS, Azure, or GCP.Strong understanding of cloud architectures, DevSecOps, security, and compliance frameworks.Ability to be highly adaptable to meet changing situations and opportunitiesExceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Project Management (such as PRINCE2 and/or PMBOK) and AGILE certifications (such as ScrumMaster) or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred.5+ years of demonstrated Program Management experience. Certifications such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent is preferred.Current AWS Cloud or Azure certifications with AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, a plus.Based in Canberra, with the ability to work on client site during business hours, 5 days per week.Minimum AGSVA NV1 security clearance, with very strong consideration given to candidates with PV clearance.BenefitsDigiRen is an equal opportunity employer.
