To be successful for the role, candidates should possess the following skills or experience:We are seeking a motivated and experienced AVP to join the Leveraged Finance team at Barclays in Sydney.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high deal volume environment on a broad range of financing transactions (leveraged finance, private credit) for a diverse set of clients (financial sponsors, corporates).As an AVP, you will play a critical role in securing and executing financings. You will lead financial modelling and due diligence work streams, and prepare marketing and internal approval materials. Failing to disclose your visa status may result in withdrawal of your application or employment offer.Purpose of the roleTo build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, expectations, and financial goals to develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions for clients and their companies.AccountabilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.Generate ideas and identify opportunities to expand the bank''s client base and create new business.Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess financial health and valuation.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documents required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.Work with teams such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.Promote Energy Transition and Sustainability by engaging with clients on climate strategies and sustainable finance opportunities.Build and maintain client relationships, understanding their needs and financial goals to develop suitable investment banking solutions.Assistant Vice President ExpectationsAdvise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness.
