The operation includes traditional landfill, a materials recovery facility joint venture, a recycling centre joint venture and a renewable energy hub.Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for implementing SRWRAs strategic management plans, policies and decisions and managing its various functions and activities. These include overseeing SRWRAs finances, corporate governance, assets, human resources, communications and major projects. The CEO also has responsibility for cultivating constructive and cohesive relationships with all stakeholders, including staff, the Board, Constituent Councils and joint venture partners, to advance the strategic priorities of SRWRA and enable its objectives and all obligations to be met.Key result areas include:Leadership and Strategic PlanningHuman Resource ManagementFinancial and Asset ManagementOperations Management and Major ProjectsManagement of Joint VenturesStakeholder Management and External CommunicationsTertiary and post graduate qualifications in commerce, management, business administration or relevant discipline will be highly desired. A well-developed understanding of the Waste Management & Recycling industry would also be well regarded. Strategic and asset management principles and practices and the ability to translate these into the planning and delivery of projects and programs is also a desirable skill of the individual.
