Asset Management Officer As the Asset Management Officer, you will be responsible for: Consulting with the Department, TAFE Queensland, and relevant stakeholders on implementing infrastructure initiatives for the North Region, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies and goals. Providing direction and leadership in campus utilisation and infrastructure development to meet current and future training needs. Leading stakeholder engagement to progress infrastructure and asset initiatives. Managing development projects, including planning, development processes, and reporting. This role reports to the Manager, Infrastructure and Logistics. This is a Permanent, Full-Time position. The primary work location will be at Cairns or Townsville campuses, with potential duties at other campuses. Key Responsibilities Promoting safety and supporting the health, safety, and environment management system. Applying project management skills to support infrastructure projects and making informed decisions through research and analysis. Ensuring timely project completion and developing asset management plans and strategies. Facilitating change, developing stakeholder relationships, and negotiating project proposals. Reporting on project progress and supporting business units in project methodology development. Developing and implementing maintenance plans and conducting research and reporting on projects. Engaging stakeholders in business planning and process modeling. Participating in organizational activities, performance management, and professional development. Undertaking additional duties as required. Assessment Criteria The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Strong project management skills with experience in developing and delivering project plans. Leadership in guiding teams and maintaining clear stakeholder communication. Understanding of Asset Management and experience in developing related plans and policies. Flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills. Desirable Qualifications Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience. Experience with Asset Management Systems. Knowledge of project management methodology.
