About the RoleThe role focuses on ensuring that YYNAC''s HR and OHS responsibilities are met while facilitating the development of employees in their current roles and preparing them for future responsibilities.This role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following accountabilities in line with the organisation''s strategic plan. Accountabilities may change at any time, subject to business needs:Manages the Human Resource & OHS DepartmentProvides support and guidance to Managers regarding staffing matters in consultation with external consultants as requiredAdministers all HR systems and processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to best practices, including OHS and industrial relationsYou will have opportunities to learn and grow in this position with mentoring and access to senior HR practitionersSkills and ExperienceYYNAC seeks a candidate with a Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, a minimum of three years'' experience in an HR role, and a Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety, including practical experience in these areas.Knowledge and/or work experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is preferred, or a demonstrated understanding/commitment to OHS.Demonstrated success in managing a human resource and OHS function.Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships across all organisational levels.A strong understanding of traditional owner culture is essential, ideally Yorta Yorta.
