About the role: Reporting to the Group Sustainability & Safety Manager, the HSEQ Advisors primary role is to promote, support, and drive the safety culture within Fleetwood''s Building and RV Solutions. This role covers our manufacturing facilities and site-based projects, playing an integral part in maintaining and improving our safety culture. The position is full-time and based at our Kangaroo Flat or Bendigo facility. The key responsibilities include: Providing guidance and support to operational teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Establishing clear standards aligned with Fleetwood''s environmental, health & safety vision, policies, and values, ensuring verification activities are completed. Conducting worksite inspections and audits on Fleetwood workplaces and construction sites. Interpreting, advising, and applying OHS legislation, Code of Practices, and relevant Australian Standards to all activities. Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions. Developing high-quality documents, presentation materials, training materials, and reports for stakeholders. Participating in the development and review of OHS strategies, policies, and procedures supporting Fleetwoods OHSEQ objectives. Conducting risk assessments for all relevant operations. Developing SWMS, SOP compliance, and reviewing chemical risk assessments. Assisting in implementing and maintaining the WHSE System Audit Program. Assessing contractor safety plans and monitoring contractor safety performance. Managing actions from inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits in MyOSH. About you: The ideal candidate is passionate about safety, driving standards, and continuous improvement. We seek a collaborative HSEQ Advisor with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Relevant experience in construction or manufacturing sectors is preferred. To succeed, you will demonstrate: Strong generalist HSEQ experience with the ability to advise managers and employees. Knowledge of OHS legislation, industry best practices, and management systems ISO 45001, 9001, 14001. At least 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in construction or manufacturing. Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (desirable). Experience in developing risk assessments, SWMS, and SOPs. Ability to draft and review safety documentation and monitor compliance. Strong decision-making and recommendation skills. Effective negotiation and change management skills. Analytical skills for policy and procedure creation. Ability to work independently and manage priorities. Sound statistical, analytical, and administrative skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving skills.
