In this role you will be responsible for the Smelting performance which will include providing a safe working environment, achieving department targets and the leadership and coordination of daily work activities.In this role you will:Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your teamIntegrate with Maintenance counterparts to ensure effective, pro-actively planned maintenance to minimise unplanned downtimeReview work practices to ensure best practiceActively manage employee performancePromote continuous improvement with the Smelting areaAbout YouOur successful candidates will:Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in Safety LeadershipAbility to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplinesAbility to lead, mentor and coach othersExperience within Smelting or minerals processing highly desirableHave the ability to communicate well with all stakeholdersHave previous and proven experience as a people leader.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
