Paraway''s primary goal is to be a consistent, reliable supplier of quality produce, while operating a sustainable business that targets long-term returns while effectively managing short-term risks.The PositionAs an experienced agricultural supply chain specialist, you will partner and work closely with the Supply Chain Manager developing and maintaining a complex inventory while identifying pathways to market. As a key stakeholder and relationship based role, you will build and add value to key partners both externally and internally to support business supply chain objectives.This role is vital to the business and a genuine link between the business performance, farm station teams, and producing efficient and cost-effective supply chain solutions.The role is based in Paraways corporate office in the regional centre of Orange, NSW. You will be working in a team orientated and can-do environment, where staff work collaboratively and interact regularly to achieve outcomes.This approach will include the following (but not limited to):Building and working on supply chain challenges including the movement of livestock in an efficient and timely mannerEstablish, grow and develop effective working relationships to maintain relevant knowledge on business activitiesDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of product/livestock inventory remotely and onsite to drive value opportunitiesImprove net farm results by gathering market intelligence, data and analysis including pricing, trade and procurement strategiesThe PersonWe are keen to hear from you if you possess the following experience, skills, and key attributes:Demonstrated success in a similar role, with at least 3-5 years experience, with exposure to livestock production considered essentialRelevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, finance, commerce, economics, or similarFoundational supply chain and logistics skills gained in the livestock sectorWell-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to relate to and communicate with General Managers, Station Managers, other internal staff as well as external stakeholders and customersExceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamHigh levels of professionalism and integrity with an enthusiastic can-do attitude combined with a strong team focusStrong organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines but also be flexible to pivot to business needsA current drivers license and the ability to travel regionally including overnight stays on a regular basis will be requiredThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected corporate agribusiness that prides itself on maintaining their values and positive no ego culture where you will be trusted in your role and have the opportunity for genuine impact on company performance.
