Apply now Job no: 531035Work type: CasualLocation: Canberra, ACTCategories: LibraryExpression of interestWe are seeking expressions of interest from qualified candidates with demonstrated experience in academic libraries (preferable), or strong transferable skills, for casual/fixed term employment in the UNSW Canberra Liaison Librarian team.About the Role:Salary: HEW 7Location: UNSW Canberra, ADFA campusAccountabilities:Provide high quality information, reference and research services, including specialised consultations to the UNSW Canberra university communityAdvise and support teaching academics on the selection and use of information resources for learning, including course readings guidanceProduce and update digital teaching and learning objects (DTLO) including creating and maintaining subject/information guides and online tutorialsIn collaboration with colleagues across the Library, undertake collection development activities in a discipline areaAs a discipline specialist, act as the Librarys representative for a School/s and/or research centre/s and deliver comprehensive general and specialised information literacy and client education activities to UNSW Canberra stakeholdersOther duties within the scope of the classification as required.About youTo be successful you will have:A degree or postgraduate qualification in an information management related discipline with subsequent relevant experience (at least 3 years), preferably in an academic library). Eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) will be well regarded.Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering instructional resources and information literacy training sessionsWell-developed liaison, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, together with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholdersSound understanding of the higher education research lifecycle, including research impact and analytics, scholarly communication and publishing, research data management and open accessStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsExcellent experience in Microsoft Office software and other applications/databases.If this sounds like you, please submit your resume and a summary of your skills and experience to support your suitability for this role.UNSW is committed to equity diversity and inclusion.
