Coral Expeditions is wholly owned by the NRMA and joins a connected family of companies including NRMA Parks and Resorts, NRMA Roadside Assist, NRMA Marine and Ferries as well as SIXT Car Rentals.Job DescriptionResponsibilities includeResponsible for the preparation of food according to the standards and quality levels set by the Company at all times.Ensuring that quality and presentation are served on schedule.Ensuring proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.Taking direction from onboard Chefs.What you will bring to usApprentice Chef, First, Second, or Third year Apprentice will be accepted.Prior Marine industry experience will be highly regarded.Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCP and Food Safety Supervisor certifications.Positive communication skills, energy, and attitude.A flexible and motivated team player with a high degree of social competence.Efficient time management and organisational skills.Pride in appearance.Ability to work under pressure.Willingness to learn and accept constructive criticism.This is a salaried position.Desired Skills and ExperienceQualifications willing to obtain with usAMSA endorsed Certificate of Safety Training (CoST).Crowd Control & Crisis Management.AMSA Medical certification.First Aid & CPR certification.MSIC Card.Australian Seafarers book or other country equivalent discharge book.Passport.What we can offer youShipboard rosters can vary from 3 to 8 weeks depending on the voyage.Accommodation and meals included onboard.An opportunity to see spectacular places.Career paths in Maritime with internationally recognised experience.Coral Expeditions is a team of seafarers who embrace life on the blue highway.
