We are currently looking for Coal Technicians to join our Muswellbrook operations. We seek candidates interested in an exciting career change to work with a global leader for quality and integrity in a full-time or casual role based in Muswellbrook, NSW.Job DescriptionWere looking for a motivated Coal Technician to join our team on a full-time or casual basis. The role involves the timely, accurate sampling, preparation, and analysis of coal samples for internal and external clients. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to high-quality laboratory outcomes.After full training, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Assist with the preventative maintenance of all preparation and laboratory equipment.Ensure accuracy, precision, and traceability of prepared samples.Assist with the calibration of all preparation and laboratory equipment.Follow routine and non-routine sampling instructions.Opportunity to obtain a nationally recognized qualification if desired.QualificationsSGS will provide full training and on-the-job learning. The successful candidate will also ideally have:Previous experience in a fast-paced, physically active industrial environment.Willingness to learn new tasks.Good attention to detail.Reliability with a strong customer focus.Previous coal sampling and testing experience (advantageous).Some computer skills, e.g., Excel, beneficial.Ability to work in a team environment.Flexibility to work shifts and meet tight deadlines.A valid drivers license and reliable transport are essential.Additional InformationWhy work for SGS?Joining SGS means being part of an innovative, global company.
