Just a few steps away from some of the most beautiful National Parks in Australia, where hiking, camping, or fishing take on a whole new meaning.THE OFFICE - MBCR is a vibrant casino resort with 30 acres of tropical gardens and beachfront views.THE TEAM - We focus on building a team that enjoys each other''s company and loves creating the best work possible.EXTRAS - Employees are entitled to a complimentary meal every shift in our staff canteen, complimentary parking, and generous discounts on spa treatments, dining, and accommodation.What will you do?Support the day-to-day culinary operations, ensuring consistency with high-quality standards and presentation.Be highly skilled at minimizing waste.Demonstrate a solid understanding of HACCP and Food Safety standards.Collaborate with the Head Chef to establish, execute, and evaluate food service standards.Address issues with managers, kitchen, and waiting staff.Demonstrate techniques and provide advice on cooking procedures.Work flexible shifts over a 7-day roster based on event schedules.Work effectively with a high-performing culinary team and lead when needed.More about youProven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a high-volume production environment.Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict timelines while maintaining quality.Strong team player with the capacity to work independently.Proficient in Food Control Plans, HACCP principles, and maintaining accurate food safety records.Effective communication skills to keep the team informed of production progress.Willingness to assist in other kitchen areas is advantageous.Creativity and passion for food with a commitment to exceptional service.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor culinary team members.Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is essential.Who we areMindil Beach Casino Resort is the leading entertainment destination in the Northern Territory, offering over 600 gaming machines, exciting table games, and diverse dining options.
