We are seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager for this busy venue in remote Queensland. This is a very hands-on role, requiring candidates to be actively involved in all areas of the hotel as needed. The venue features gaming machines, a busy public bar, restaurant, and detached bottleshop. Despite its distance from major cities, this vibrant and sustainable coastal community offers most modern facilities and conveniences. Package: $90,000 Base Salary + Super, FREE Accommodation, and Nightly Duty Meal Duties: Assist the General Manager in daily venue operations Work behind the bar, making and serving drinks, clearing tables, and stocking fridges & shelves Oversee and work in the restaurant, reception, and bottleshop Manage stock control and assist with retail purchasing Handle payouts, maintenance, and compliance of gaming machines Manage staff rosters, supervise, and train up to 30 staff Balance tills, safes, and floats Maintain cleanliness and change beer lines and kegs Assist with after-hours reception check-ins Provide excellent customer service, handle inquiries and complaints Ensure customer safety at all times Perform other duties as required and as directed by the GM Candidate Requirements: Extensive product knowledge, ability to work quickly, and enforce local AMP rules Experience at least at Duty Manager level or above in a hotel setting Knowledge of gaming and compliance regulations Strong retail skills, including stock control with POS systems Good computer and administrative skills Current QLD RSA & RSG, RMLV, and Approved Managers License Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently with good time management Creative thinking abilities Additional Information: Access via daily flights Telstra mobile and internet coverage available How to Apply: If youre ready for your remote adventure and believe youre the right fit, please send your resume to jobs@mlkarecruitment.com.au.
