We have an opportunity for an experienced Sales Agronomist to join our team in Kalbar, located in the Scenic Rim region. The focus of your role will be to consult and offer expert product knowledge to our horticultural & farming client base in the Fassifern valley (located just over an hour from Brisbane). You will provide agronomic and technical support to farmers in the region to maximise the performance of their enterprises, together with product sales both on farm and in store. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, you will develop an understanding of the clients business goals and share agronomic advice and current technology to enable clients to run productive and sustainable farming enterprises. You will maintain relationships with existing customers whilst targeting new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input. Responsibilities Providing agronomic & technical support to clients, recommending appropriate products & services. Developing & fostering professional relationships with a targeted group of existing & new clients. Identifying & developing new agronomic sales opportunities for clients. Working with the branch team, upskilling & providing technical advice & product recommendations. Assisting with product forecasting as appropriate. Qualifications Previous experience in an agronomy role & a proven track record in sales. Experience providing exceptional customer service & building relationships with growers. Agronomic knowledge of current vegetable production is a distinct advantage. Background in disciplines such as weed & disease management, pasture, broadacre & horticulture agronomy. A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field. Knowledge of agricultural chemicals & fertiliser. Able to embrace industry research & new technology.
