The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the overall Off Premise performance in all trade channels within Victoria & Tasmania. In addition to channel distribution and volume targets, they are the driving force for the success of the Off Premise channel including field sales, wholesale distribution, and state account management. The primary task of this role is to lead, direct, and coach Field Sales Managers and a State Sales Administrator (SSA), as well as oversee the coaching and development of a team of Strikers and Corporate Grocery Strikers. You will also work collaboratively with the Regional On Premise Manager & Field Marketing Manager to win in your state through 360 planning and execution. The Regional Sales Manager is a senior entrepreneurial leadership role, responsible for the ongoing achievement of our Business Plan and targets. All the responsibilities we''ll trust you with: Lead and Direct: Lead and direct the sales team to achieve Business plan objectives, distribution, and market share targets. Create the state execution plan for the National Business Plan. Stay informed of market trends and leverage this information for business development. Present regularly to Senior Management on performance and initiatives. Manage and motivate all field staff to meet targets. Coach: Coach & develop Field Sales Manager (FSM) and SSA. Spend time in trade with staff to coach on best practices. Provide feedback and review career development and succession plans. Manage Relationships - External & Internal: Maintain relationships with customer departments and retail managers. Conduct regional visits, build networks, and support initiatives with internal teams like Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Drive cross-functional engagement to align strategies. Account Programs and Plans: Develop, execute, and evaluate promotional programs. Negotiate deals and leverage marketing activities. Develop and align JBPs with major customers, and provide regular updates and analysis. Category Management & Trade Marketing: Use insights to grow market share and optimize shelf space and displays. Support store positioning with category sell stories. Ensure core range stocking and visibility in stores. Forecasting: Support volume forecasts for rolling 12 months, communicate inventory forecasts, and ensure alignment with supply chain. Spend: Manage indirect spend, oversee promotional claim processes, and ensure timely claims processing. Report discounts and variances monthly.
