Fortescue is leading the world with our plan to decarbonise our iron ore operations, projects that harness renewable energy and the development of technology that will change our planet forever.Work Location: We have multiple opportunities based across Fortescues Pilbara locationsRoster: 8D/6R or 4D/3R FIFO ex Perth or BusseltonKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain and implement operational mine plans and mine designsAnalyse mine plan performance, compliance and efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with various support functions, including Geology, Drill & Blast, Geotechnical, Hydrogeology, Surface Water, Approvals and Heritage to enable timely achievement of milestonesIdentify risks and opportunities, and implement tools and processes to drive mining efficienciesProvide technical expertise and mentorship to site mine planning teamsQualifications and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Mining Engineering or related fieldPrevious experience in mine planning or design in a high production, mining environmentDemonstrated analytical and problem solving skillsProficiency using Excel and mine planning/scheduling or mine design softwareStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholdersOur CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
