Our purpose is to enrich the lives of people living independently in their own homes through connection to services and community.About ECHOECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while maintaining their independence.We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.Our goal is to provide consistent services at the same time, on the same day, with the same team of Support Workers, ensuring familiarity and continuity of care, which helps maintain dignity and well-being for our clients.Job DescriptionThis role involves providing support with financial tasks, including the day-to-day processing of Accounts Payable, maintaining financial records using our management information system, managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring all transactions are conducted legally and ethically.This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and includes the following duties:Accurate maintenance of financial records (filing invoices, entering bills, updating case notes)Providing advice and support on accounting matters and inquiriesAssisting with financial management to ensure stability, including banking, payments, receipts, and debt collectionMaintaining financial procedures such as bank reconciliations, payments, and bill processingData analysis and report generationProactively contributing to automation and AI integration for high-quality serviceLiaising with internal and external stakeholdersCovering reception duties on FridaysHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pmDesired Skills and ExperienceQualifications:Tertiary qualification in accountingAbility to embody ECHO values: Excellence, Compassion, Honesty, and OpportunityTeamwork skills, supportive attitude, and professionalismEnthusiastic, motivated, eager to learn, with a proactive approachAt least 2 years of relevant experienceProficiency in accounting software XERO or similarExperience with Bank Reconciliation, BPAY/OSKO/TYRO/EFPOSTProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalEffective time management and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively and independentlyAccountability and adherence to ECHO policies and proceduresEffective communication to promote understanding of servicesSkills in data interpretation, forecasting, and budgetingKnowledge of statutory complianceAbility to provide relevant adviceProfessional licensing and registration (if applicable)Knowledge of the Aged Care industry and HCP clients is highly regardedPlease submit your resume via the apply function above.
