Support meaningful change in refugee healthwhere every day brings purpose, growth, and connection!Employment Type: Permanent Part TimePosition Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2Remuneration: $57.11 - $58.98 per hour + 11.5% super + Salary packagingHours Per Week: 16Requisition ID: REQ571065Applications Close: Sunday, 25th May 2025About The OpportunityYou will be working with a dedicated and compassionate team working out of Newcastle Community Health Centre, based in Wallsend, with outreach services and home visits extending across the region.This is a unique and autonomous role, providing clinical advice, research leadership, education, and policy initiatives to support and improve care for refugees throughout Newcastle and HNELHD.No two days are the same. Youll be working with incredible refugee clients and be part of a supportive, diverse teamincluding our skilled Health Care Interpreters.In this role, youll learn, grow, and encounter aspects of health care that are both challenging and deeply rewarding.About YouYou are a highly skilled Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in Population Health, Child & Family Health, Mental Health, Infectious Disease, or a related field, and bring at least three years of experience in your specialty. A confident clinician and natural educator, you thrive in a collaborative team environment and are driven by a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for your patients.You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, along with strong leadership and communication skills, enabling you to guide others and influence positive change in a dynamic and evolving healthcare setting.Essential RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse division 1 Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Current valid driver''s licence within Australia and willingness to use for work purposesRelevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.What We Can Offer YouAt Hunter New England Health enjoy a career where you''re challenged by interesting work and surrounded by spectacular locations.
