Job no: 898909Work type: Part timeLocation: Adelaide CBDCategories: Nursing/MidwiferyWomen''s and Children''s Health Network, Medical Services - Safety and Quality Unit, North Adelaide (5006)Salary -Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $125,183 to $130,779Part Time (0.8 FTE) - Term Contract (temporary up to 12 months)About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Safety and Quality Unit team as a Nurse / Midwife Manager (National Standards), where you will be responsible for:Using clinical knowledge and experience to implement, monitor, and evaluate the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards across the Womens and Childrens Health Network (WCHN).Providing leadership to ensure optimum patient/client outcomes by monitoring the effectiveness of organisational systems related to the NSQHS Standards.Assessing risks, monitoring incidents and adverse events, and conducting clinical audits to support quality improvement.Initiating and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with clinical reporting requirements.Delivering and supporting various quality improvement projects, plans, and evaluation activities to meet the requirements of the NSQHS.Accepting accountability for nursing/midwifery management outcomes and addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.Contributing to a safe and positive work culture focused on improving patient/client outcomes.Accepting responsibility for the outcomes within the specific span of control or allocated portfolio.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary quality management/ process improvement activities.Demonstrated experience in preparing organisations/services for accreditationEffective Leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skillsDemonstrated ability in the facilitation of change managementAbility to prioritise workload and meet timelinesWhat WCHN Can Offer YouRelocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
