The Momentum Alliance is made up of John Holland, Seymour Whyte and designpartners Mott MacDonald and Jacobs Group, in partnership with MRPV.The scope of works includes upgrading six kilometres of the Freeway with new traffic lanes, bridge upgrades and urbannoise walls, a dedicated busway (fully segregated from mainline traffic), and a new bridgeover the Yarra River.The NEL Project involves the design and construction of the upgrade of the Eastern Freeway from Hoddle Street in the west to Burke Road in the east, including:6km of brownfield freeway widening to accommodate additional traffic lanes in each direction3km dedicated busway separated from mainline trafficSignificant structures including 600m of bridges, including a 180m architectural steel shared use path bridge of the Yarra RiverFreeway-wide scope including ITS, retaining walls, stormwater drainage, noise walls, lighting and signageSite location to be around Chandler Highway / Eastern Freeway interchange.About the RoleAssist to develop and implement a stakeholder and community relations program supporting the Project engagement objectives and Stakeholder Relations and Communications Management Plan, which projects a strong and positive image of the Project to the community and stakeholders.Manage stakeholder and community issues and provide advice to the project team on communications, community and stakeholder relations activities to enable successful project delivery.All our employees have a key role in ensuring the success of NELs health, safety, environmental & quality management program and to fulfil this, each person must adopt the Projects core safety and environmental values.What you will do; Identify stakeholder and community issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts.Ensure client expectations are fully understood and develop good working relationships with the client.Plan and manage contact with external stakeholders and the community in a way that enhances the reputation of John Holland and organisation partners.Assist to develop and implement the Stakeholder Relations and Communications Management Plan for the project including developing and implementing plans and procedures for a specific Area, ensuring they are updated as required.Develop good working relationships with the project construction team to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.Provide advice and assistance to the construction teams on community and stakeholder activities so communication and notification requirements are understood in accordance with the Stakeholder Relations and Communications Management Plan.Arrange site visits and ensure all visitors to the project have appropriate PPE and undergo relevant site inductions.Write a range of high-quality communication materials, including notifications, newsletters, advertising, social media posts and formal correspondence as well as co-ordinate residential door-knocks as appropriate.Manage responses to all project related communications matters including via phone, email, website and social media in line with agreed client framework.Co-ordinate and support regular stakeholder and community meetings as required, including Community Reference Groups.Develop a range of project specific forums for stakeholders and the community including community forums, pop up information sessions etc.Liaise with construction teams, community and stakeholders to respond to the project number and manage all queries in accordance with the clients framework.Communicate community and stakeholder awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations.Contribute to the identification of construction related risks and hazards with regard to stakeholders and the community.Assist to develop strategies to achieve best possible results with project KRA and KPIs.Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately and in line with agreed client framework.Provide information to input into project reporting cycles.Assist in the identification, development and management of promotional opportunities for the project and its construction (i.e. media, presentations, milestones etc).Participate and assist with activities undertaken by the wider Communications team as appropriate.Perform all duties in accordance with NEL policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.What we are looking for;Qualifications:Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (Disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing)Experience:Demonstrated experience in communications & stakeholder management for major infrastructure projects.Experience in leading project or specialist function activities.Relevant experience gained within major organisations - relevant sector, government or consultancy.As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so were committed to being an employer of choice.
