America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is on the hunt for dynamic, Warehouse Lead Canadian Operations in Langford, British ColumbiaUnder the general direction of the Senior Operations Manager, the warehouse supervisor is responsible for leading, developing and motivating a team of warehouse associates Also, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including, picking and shipping orders; receiving stock and maintaining accuracy of inventory; and cleaning and organizing warehouse.What You''ll Do: As a Warehouse Lead at AFL, your primary responsibilities will includeCoordinate with the Logistics Manager on finalized list of materials (e.g.: number of pallets, weight& dimensions) for booking purposes with service provider/carrier(s)Coordinate with service provider/carrier(s) on booking and shipment schedules (e.g., ETD/ETA) andadvise warehouse and/or storage facilities.Track and monitor shipments to minimize and communicate possible delaysReceive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments through assigned warehousepersonnel/contractor.Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in binsMark materials like: reels stored in yard with identifying information. Mark inventory codes(SAPs) on all other items.Monitor pull requests of materials, consumables or other stock items in order to filltechnician/contractors requests.Maintain accurate inventory count of materials received or pulled out from warehouse/storagefacilities and submit reports to Inventory Control Lead.Work effectively and efficiently with cross functional teams, including those from PMO, Operations (Construction), and the Inventory ControlLead.Work effectively with all other business units, including MXU, NGM and Rogers groupsAssist the Inventory Control Lead identify and optimize common inventory items among facilities formaterial forecastingConduct periodic audits of facility inventory on a scheduled basisTake on responsibility for ensuring in-house warehouse personnel and contractors adhere to theinternal operational processes and company standards in all activitiesAct as point of contact for inquiries regarding physical delivery and arrival of all materials vs.Purchase OrdersAct as point of contact for inquiries regarding material delivery and availabilityAssist Inventory Control Lead monitors: Material usage vs. Material orderingLook for opportunities and make recommendations for cost saving initiativesConduct regular team / safety meetingsEnhancing Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests andexploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentAdhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFLEnsure all safety procedures are followed, including inspections of warehouse, yard and fleetvehicles (including forklifts).What Were Looking for:Minimum 3+ years experience working in a warehouse environmentMinimum 1 year experience in a warehouse supervisor capacityExperience with shipping and inventory controlExperience with Telecommunication Materials is an assetProficient in MS Office and inventory/warehouse management systemAble to carry and lift product exceeding 30 lbs.Why Join Us: AFL is a global leader in the telecommunications industry, providing cutting-edge network technology and solutions to customers around the world.
