One of the largest gold producers in Australia, you will join a diverse team and have the opportunity to advance your career with an innovative company dedicated to safety, environmental management, inclusion and diversity.As a Production Scheduler, and working a 5/2 4/3 roster, you will be providing technical and scheduling support to Mining Operations to ensure we continue to safely achieve operational targets.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure mine operational and planning teams are aligned and focused on delivering mining plans safely and efficiently.Demonstrating behaviours in line with Newmont''s values, and health, safety, social and environmental policies and standards.Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders across the operation.Identify and address risks that may impact or are impacting the business plan.Utilising the appropriate tools to ensure processes and systems are effective across all areas of open pit operations.Engage with the engineering team to track and forecast mine development activities.Assist in compliance with operation budget and forecasts and highlight any variance to management.Identifying, and where relevant undertake and lead continuous improvement projects to increase mining operations functions.About youHold a Diploma of Metalliferous Mining or similar.Leadership experience in large open pit operations.Exposure to strategic business planning processes.Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate desirable.Understanding of planning and technical functions.Excellent oral communication skills with a proven ability to persuade, involve and gain the cooperation and consensus of a diverse group of stakeholders.Advanced PC skills and computer literacy including experience with various software packages related to the role, drill and blast tools, ore control system tools, reporting tools and production monitoring/Fleet Management System tools.Knowledge of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry.Exposure to strategic business planning processes.Your knowledge of statutory regulations, advanced PC skills and computer literacy including experience with mining software products (Cat Minestar CfH, Terrain & Minesight 3D), and prior operational experience within an autonomous operation will be highly regarded.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
