This is an opportunity to step into a senior role within our large staff team where you will lead and manage a pastoral team and shepherd your congregations, as well as growing existing or developing new ministry opportunities.As a relationally rich church, your heart will be pastoral, with a desire to teach and disciple within several congregations in our church. You will lead a congregational team and be motivated to see the five distinctives of our church actively at work. These distinctives are joyful gatherings, deliberate discipleship & training, real relationships, engaging evangelism and radical God-centred generosity.Your stipend will be in accordance with the diocesan remuneration guidelines, including housing and other allowances, based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time role and will report to the Senior Pastor.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the leader of one of our congregational teams;Regular preaching and leading of Sunday servicesProviding pastoral care, discipleship and leadership to congregational team leaders, interns, and student ministersEstablishing congregational culture, shaped by and aligned to our five distinctivesEnthusiastically building the community life of congregationsIdentifying and discipling new leaders and lay ministersHelping to plan and lead the wider ministries of our churchCoaching, mentoring and discipling of pastors, pastors in training, and internsConviction, Qualifications and ExperienceYou must be ordained AnglicanA person of Christian Character with demonstrated commitment to Reformed Evangelical Christian values.A life that demonstrates prayerfulness, grace and the transforming sanctifying work of GodA passionate love for both Christ and his church, and a desire to see lives transformed by the gospelA servant heart that is willing to commit to the mission and direction of The Bridge ChurchTeachable and willing to learn, displaying an ability to work both with and under authority, in the context of our ministry team and under the leadership of the Senior PastorA theological degree (Bachelors or Masters)At least 5 years pastoral experienceSkills and CapabilitiesProven ability to teach the Bible faithfully, clearly, and practicallyProven ability in pastoral care amongst congregations and communityProven ability to lead and train groups and ministry teamsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational and leadership skillsA willingness to learn, grow, and adjust as the job may requireThe ability to work independently and as a team memberThe ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsA passion and enthusiasm to work with volunteers and help them succeedClosing date for submissions is Friday 13thJune, 2025.Please be aware that this job ad was placed and authorised only for the sydneyanglicans.net website.Keep up with the latest news with our newsletterEvery week you will receive our top stories in your inbox.
