Band 8 Annualised salary from $131,069.93 to $145,526.63 + Super Develop & deliver high-impact, marketing campaigns that drive visitation Lead destination brand strategy whilst guiding a talented marketing team About Us The City of Ballarats Marketing Team leads the regions destination marketing activities. We work on a range of initiatives to impress potential visitors, build community pride, and inspire our locals to invite their friends and relatives to the region. The marketing team also supports the marketing operations of the regions Visitor Economy Partnership, Tourism Midwest Victoria. As the peak tourism body for the region, Tourism Midwest Victoria aims to cultivate the Midwest Victoria region as a sustainable and thriving tourist destination. The Role The Coordinator Marketing reports to the Executive Manager Visitor Economy and is responsible for managing the development and implementation of proactive, high-impact, multi-channel marketing tactics and campaigns that promote Ballarat. This position will lead the team to provide marketing services that position and amplify Ballarat as a destination to visit. This includes leading brand management, developing and implementing innovative marketing tactics and campaigns, and acting as a marketing advisor for other City of Ballarat units and Tourism Midwest Victoria partner LGAs. Key Responsibilities Leadership and management: Oversee the marketing team to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the brand and visitor experience. Guide the marketing activities of Tourism Midwest Victorias partner LGAs through a Community of Practice. Marketing and communications: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies; enhance the digital experience to promote Tourism Midwest Victoria. Brand oversight: Manage consumer brands, ensuring consistent and effective application across all platforms. About You The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a senior marketing or communications role, preferably within a tourism or leisure brand context. Recent experience in applying digital platforms and technologies to achieve marketing and communication objectives is essential. Experience in leading a team is required.
