With egg-citing growth and expansion on the horizon, nows a great time to join us and be part of our continued success!About the roleWe are seeking a Production Manager to oversee our egg processing operation at Minchinbury, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role will involve managing daily processing activities to meet production targets, monitoring metrics for continuous improvement, and developing production schedules in collaboration with customer service and supply chain teams. As the Production Manager you will also recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment while promoting safety compliance through regular training and drills. Collaboration with maintenance teams to ensure equipment functionality and liaising with sales and marketing to align production with customer needs will be crucial. This position demands strong leadership skills, a focus on quality and safety, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced production environment.What youll doOversee daily egg processing activities to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of production targets.Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and minimise waste.Develop and maintain production schedules in collaboration with customer service and supply chain teams.Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements through regular audits and quality checks.Recruit, train, and supervise processing staff while conducting performance evaluations.Provide ongoing coaching to foster a positive and productive work environment.Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and conducting safety training sessions.Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of raw materials.Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all processing equipment is well-maintained and operational.Liaise with sales and marketing teams to align production with customer needs and market demands.About YouAre you a driven leader with a passion for food processing? Our ideal Production Manager has a strong background in FMCG, with at least five years of management experience focused on safety and quality. You excel in fostering a positive work environment and enjoy coaching and mentoring your team. Your proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail allow you to monitor production metrics and implement effective improvements. Experience with Lean methodology is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to drive efficiency. You bring expertise in areas like pasteurisation or food technology and thrive in a fast-paced setting. With a collaborative approach, you ensure equipment functionality and align production with customer needs, all while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
