The City of Boroondara is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Information Archives Officer to join our Corporate Information team on a fixed-term basis. In this essential role, youll manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Councils physical and digital recordsensuring compliance with legal, operational, and governance standards. This is your opportunity to play a key role in protecting our citys historical integrity while helping ensure timely and effective access to critical information.A bit about the roleAppraise, sentence and manage records in line with Public Records Office Victoria (PROV) guidelinesProcess and prepare archives for offsite storage, ensuring accurate tracking and retrievalSupport mailroom services and the capture, classification and distribution of corporate recordsProvide friendly and accurate support to staff seeking information management adviceContribute to quality audits and information governance projects as requiredAbout youTo thrive in this role, youll bring~A qualification in records management or equivalent experience in a similar role is desirableWorking knowledge of public records legislation and standards will be an advantageExperience using electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS)Excellent organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated experience in performing stand alone functions.The ability to safely lift and move parcels and archive boxes, in line with safe work procedures, is essential.
