Working alongside experienced fitters, electricians, and engineers, youll play a key role to help build and maintain cutting-edge packaging automation systems. Youll be an essential part of a collaborative team, ensuring the smooth assembly, testing, and delivery of custom machinery.This is your opportunity to join a nationally respected manufacturer where your contribution makes a real impact every day.Job DescriptionWhat youll be doing:Support mechanical and electrical builds:Assist tradespeople in assembling, fitting, and wiring components for advanced packaging machinery.Prepare and maintain the workshop:Keep work areas clean, organised, and stocked with the right tools and materials to support efficient workflow.Handle parts and equipment:Receive, store, and move components and equipment safely and correctly youll be on the move and part of the action.Assist with installations and testing:Lend a hand during system commissioning, testing, and customer site installations, both in the workshop and occasionally in the field.Pitch in wherever needed:This role is diverse from helping with basic fabrication tasks to loading machines for transport, youll support the team wherever your help is needed most.Follow all safety procedures:Ensure a safe work environment by following site policies, using PPE, and helping maintain compliance with WHS standards.What youll bring:Previous experience in a manufacturing, workshop, or trade environmentStrong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced tradespeopleGood communication and teamwork skillsPhysically fit and able to lift, carry, and be on your feet throughout the dayA proactive, can-do attitude and ability to take directionStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyIt''d be great if you also have:Forklift licence or willingness to obtain oneBasic mechanical or electrical aptitudeDrivers licence and reliable transportAt HMPS Propac, Australias leading machine manufacturers, we are passionate about delivering innovative end-of-line packaging automation.
