This initiative will revolutionise train services for customers travelling from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, and the South Coast.About Your Role:The role of Performance Analyst is to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within RailConnect, ensuring precise attribution of in-service incidents and failures in collaboration with Transport for NSW and consortium partners. This role is pivotal in managing technical investigations, optimising workflows, and enhancing maintenance strategies to deliver a seamless operational environment.Key Responsibilities:Daily Meetings Participation: Attend and contribute to daily attribution meetings, ensuring accurate allocation of operational incidents and assessment of penalties.Lead Investigations:Conduct technical and attribution investigations regarding in-service incidents and failures, providing insightful analysis and solutions.Risk and Cost Analysis:Engage in discussions to identify potential risks and costs associated with delays and availability challenges proactively.Report Development: Collaborate with the Performance Engineering Lead to develop comprehensive attribution reports, which aid in managing and disputing claims effectively.Contractual Expertise: Display a deep understanding of the contractual obligations and requirements outlined in the consortium deed to ensure precise compliance and communication.Technical Proficiency: Maintain a thorough understanding of necessary subsystems for effective interpretation of NIF subsystem logs.Data Management:Keep detailed and accurate records of attribution investigations to apply trending and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) practices to incident data.About You:As the Performance Analyst, you will have mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent technical and practical experience, particularly within the rollingstock maintenance field. You must also have a deep understanding of train operations and electric passenger rolling stock systems.Analytical / Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex information critically and identify patterns to make well-informed decisions.Attention to Detail:Requires meticulous monitoring of incidents to ensure precise attribution of responsibility.Communication Skills: Necessitates effective communication with various stakeholders, engaging in discussions and resolving discrepancies in incident attribution.Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other consortium partners to investigate incidents and streamline attribution processesTechnical Proficiency: Experienced in the rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics, or other safety-critical environments, showcasing adaptability and expertise in high-stakes industries.Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical and practical experience.Work-life Balance: At UGL, we understand the importance of maintaining a balance between professional and personal life.
