Whether your expertise lies in network maintenance, metering services, or street lighting, we have opportunities for you!Whats in it for you when you join Omexom:Generous Living Away from Home Allowance We ensure you''re supported when working away.Fortnightly RDO Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with scheduled days off.World-Class Training & Upskilling Develop your expertise in live line works, operating, and licensing.Work in Prime Locations Across Victoria Experience diverse and exciting job sites.Employment Agreement Coverage Stability and security backed by our EA.Additional Allowances We go above and beyond to recognise your efforts.Employee Assistance Program Access professional support for your well-being.Career Growth Opportunities Build your skills and develop your careerExclusive Access to Vinci Shares Be part of a global network and invest in your future.Strong Team Culture Work alongside passionate professionals in a supportive environment.What you will need:Certificate III in ESI Power Systems - Distribution Overhead or Australian equivalent.Construction Industry White Card.High Risk Licences (Elevating Work Platform, Dogging and Rigging).Lineworker Registration (Orange Card)A current MR or HR Drivers Licence.Current VESI Skills passport with up-to-date training is advantageous.Pre-Employment Requirements:Attend pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test.About the Role:As a Lineworker, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electricity distribution networks across Victoria, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.Public Lighting - Key Responsibilities:Setting up new streetlights and replacing outdated ones with energy-efficient LED systems.Inspecting and servicing lighting infrastructure to ensure proper function.Swapping out faulty lamps, wiring, and electrical components as needed.Troubleshooting and repairing issues such as flickering lights or complete failures.Operating elevated work platforms, bucket trucks, and hand tools.Coordinating with local councils, contractors, and residents to ensure efficient service.Setting up new meters and servicing existing meters to ensure accurate readings.Checking meters for faults, tampering, or inefficiencies to maintain system integrity.Addressing customer concerns, troubleshooting meter issues, and restoring service when required.Working with network operators, technicians, and customers to ensure seamless electrical servicing.Handling new connections, upgrades, and deactivations as needed.Communicating effectively with customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.Distribution & Transmission Key Responsibilities:Working on high and low voltage overhead and underground systems.Setting up new poles, transformers, conductors, and other power equipment.Restoring power efficiently after outages caused by storms, equipment failure, or damage.Performing maintenance on energised lines using specialised tools and techniques.Interpreting schematics to plan and execute work effectively.Using bucket trucks, elevated work platforms, and cranes for installations and repairs.Working with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure smooth power distribution.About Omexom:Omexom Australia, formerly Electrix Pty Ltd and a subsidiary of VINCI Energies.
