This role will report to the Head of Climate and Environment Strategy.In this pivotal position, you will lead multiple workstreams, establishing effective governance structures, and coordinating working groups to deliver on our C&E Strategy action plans across the bank.Your role will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders, across all divisions and functions including Climate Risk, Group ESG, Group Strategy and more, to coordinate, drive, and monitor progress against the C&E Strategy action plans. You will provide strategic advice and tactical support, ensuring that our initiatives are aligned with regulatory standards and business objectives.We are looking for an adaptive and driven individual with commercial acumen and a passion for climate and environmental issues. You should have a proven track record of delivering results and effectively communicating across a diverse stakeholder base. Whatever your role at ANZ, youll be building your future, while helping to build ours.Role Location:Melbourne is preferred, however candidates from Sydney (or other locations) will be considered based on suitability for the role.Role Type:Permanent, Full timeNote:The job title varies depending on successful candidates experienceWhat will your day look like?As aDirector/ Executive Director, C&E Strategy , your day will be dynamic and varied and will includethe following accountabilities:Drive the implementation and delivery of the C&E StrategyEngage with senior stakeholders, including presenting at various executive forumsLead and drive strategy workstreams, co-ordinate activities and prepare and review packs/ materials for various committees/ forumsCollaborate with various stakeholders to build out the governance model, coordinate and monitor progressManage the day-to-day in relation to our investment and strategic partnership with Pollination including managing key stakeholders to deliver on the partnership priorities and monitor progressDevelop and roll out communications plansProvide strategic advice and support to stakeholdersMonitor climate and environment developments and their impact on ANZOversee and provide guidance and support on the strategy related workstreams under the Mandatory Climate Disclosures programDevelop team members and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environmentWhat will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Strategic and commercial thinking, with a willingness to roll your sleeves up to get the job doneExcellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex mattersExperience in strategy and strategy deliveryAbility to develop effective working relationshipsStrong problem-solving skillsAdaptability and resilienceSome additional nice to have skills for this role include:Experience in equity investments and/ or advisory servicesFinancial or corporate industry knowledge and experienceEnjoy working in a fast-paced, customer centric and collaborative team environmentExperienced in working with senior executivesExperience in climate and environment, ESG, change management or deliveryYoure not expected to have 100% of these skills.
