Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions and experience developing with advanced AI agent architectures, RAG and tooling such as MCPs.Pioneer machine learning at Zip and actually see things into production.Hybrid working with two days per week in our Sydney office.Write your story with ZipJoin Zips Technology function, responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence and merchant partners to grow their brands.A role in Zips growing Data Analytics & Data Science team will see you partner with key stakeholders to supply fast, reliable and future-proof data, powering data-driven decision making on our biggest and most interesting business challenges.Interesting problems youll get to solveYou will help us develop our machine learning maturity roadmap which will be utilised across the AU business as well as influencing our data science and ML strategy; enabling us to move fast and fearlessly with data.As the Senior Machine Learning Engineer in our data team youll be the technical go to for everything across this functionality. You will support us to develop a world class AI / ML technology stack and MLOps capabilities to further enhance the incredible Zip customer experience.Well need you to critically assess existing machine learning technologies and recommend new ways of working whilst providing mentoring and coaching across machine learning best practices across the business. Working closely with our awesome Data Scientists, you will discover and validate problems to facilitate quicker data science decisions.What we provide you with is an environment that is open and ready for change and challenges whilst offering genuine career growth opportunities.To help us level up youll bringExtensive hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions using industry-leading platforms and tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Anthropic, Langchain etc.Proven expertise in production-grade data science workflows, particularly with Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS.Experience developing with advanced AI agent architectures, including multi-agent systems, RAG, and tooling such as MCPs.Deep understanding of AIMLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and end-to-end model lifecycle management in production environments.Skilled in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience using Git, Terraform, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
