The project will be a significant contributor to the South Australian economy and will provide employment opportunities for locals and for those looking to move to the area.Hillside is in a fantastic location 150km from Adelaide and is one of the largest undeveloped copper / gold projects in Australia. Stage 1 of the project is fully approved and early-stage site access work has commenced. Further site work and awarding of contracts and building the team to execute the project will proceed at pace over the course of 2025. The project will be operated under a contract mining model with oversight from an experienced owners team.The scene is therefore set and Hillside will be one of the next greenfield mining projects in Australia to get off the ground.About the role:AsManager Community Relations you will be responsible for developing and executing the community engagement strategy. This role involves building and maintaining positive relationships with local communities, stakeholders, government authorities, Aboriginal groups, and other key partners.The Manager will work to ensure the companys operations align with social responsibility goals, regulatory requirements, and community interests, while supporting the companys reputation and social licence to operate.Experience required:Bachelor Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Sciences or a closely related field.10+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, or related field, preferably in mining, resources or energy sectors coupled with at least 3 years experience in leadership positions.Proven experience in managing relationships with local communities, governments, and other external stakeholders.Strong understanding of the social, environmental, and economic issues affecting mining operationsA detailed understanding of state and federal policy development processes and native title and heritageWhats on offer:Permanent position with a growing mining company on a greenfield project that is supported by the local community.Opportunity to be the face of the company and build partnerships with local community groups whilst seeking positive outcomes for everyone.Attractive salary package, professional development and employee benefits.Relocation assistance available to the Yorke Peninsula area of South Australia.
