This will be achieved through the provision of high leveladvice, leadership and policy development.You will hold the following responsibilities:Implement strategic and customer focused policies,strategies and services relative to the functional areas ofaccountability, including financial management, procurement andcontract management, risk and audit, information technology,human resource management, legal services and services toparliamentarians.Provide expertise and leadership to ensure the efficientand effective delivery of strategy and business services to allDHUD Branches.Provide strategic leadership and lead a culture thatidentifies opportunities for improving service delivery byfostering an environment of continuous improvement andincreased capability that ensures the success of delivery ofcorporate services.Provide high level strategic and targeted advice as amember of the Executive Leadership Group to ensure that DHUDdelivers value and quality services as well as high level,timely advice to the Chief Executive (CE), and other seniorofficers as required.Manage strategic and politically sensitive issues andidentify unresolved and/or emerging issues in areas ofresponsibility.Represent DHUD and the Chief Executive on various boards,committees and working parties.Lead the efficient and effective operational andorganisational management of a dedicated team by ensuring anethical, safe and healthy work environment, free fromdiscrimination is provided for all employees.Develop a strong culture of innovation across theAgency.Manage change and continually improve Agency businessstructures, resource management and operational activities tobest respond to a changing business environment.Be Agency Security Executive for the Department responsiblefor security management on behalf of the Chief Executive.Chairs the Department''s Security Committee which manages andreviews protective and cyber security matters in accordancewith the South Australian Protective Security Framework and theSouth Australian Cyber Security Framework.About You:To be successful in this position, you must be able todemonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:Strong leadership experience with a demonstrated ability tomotivate and inspire others to work together as a team toachieve objectives.Proven ability to drive and influence the successfuldelivery of complex change programs involving people, processesand systems and impacting various stakeholders and businesspartners.Proven ability to successfully operate in a multi-facetedrole covering a broad range of functional areas ofresponsibility.Desirable Qualification:Essential-Tertiary qualifications in either accounting, finance,economics, management, business or other appropriatequalification.Special Conditions:Successful applicants are required to obtain a satisfactoryDepartment of Human Services Criminal History Check or NationalPolice Check prior to employment.
