In our pursuit for excellence, we encourage entrepreneurial thinking, challenge the status quo and inculcate a sense of ownership while fostering an environment of transparency, collaboration, respect and integrity among our employees, business partners and the larger community.About The RoleStamford Grand Adelaide is a five-star hotel situated a stones throw away from the stunning beach suburb of Glenelg, we are seeking an experienced hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to manage our busy Promenade Restaurant on a full-time capacity.As an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager, a core focus will be to provide effective, well-planned leadership to the team, whilst providing our guests with outstanding service. You will be an excellent communicator and passionate about people.Core Functions Of Your RoleWorking closely with our Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef and Function & Events Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and efficiency of the Restaurant, oversee training and development of the team while engaging with guests and providing an on the floor approach to service.Check stock levels and order supplies while consulting with the chefs regarding the planning of the menu and dishesArrange the purchasing and pricing of goods and stocks according to budgetAble to coordinate a full restaurant floor team at the busiest of timesFacilitate staff onboarding training and ongoing development, all certification, performance evaluation to maintain an active staff retention and succession planProactively monitor roster numbers against budget/headcount to roster casuals casuallyEnsure staff adhere to Stamford Grand Adelaides uniform and grooming standardsPrepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and salesMaintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safetyHelp in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictateEnsure dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.Greet guests, assist with order taking, and check to assess satisfaction with meals and dining experienceCoordinate and organise functions being held at the restaurant to ensure smooth runningAbout YouIf you have 2+ years of relevant experience in a busy restaurant that caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner covers, whilst also holding a trade certificate in management and/or business (desirable), wed love to receive your resume.Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificateHave experience preparing work rostersHave people management experience to cater to diverse skill sets and cultural differencesProven ability to remain professional when working under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFull and unrestricted Australian working rightsBenefits & PerksDiscounted meals and non-alcoholic beveragesSupplied meals during allocated rostered shiftsComplimentary dry cleaning allowanceCareer growth opportunitiesComplimentary onsite car parkingHow To ApplyIf you have the experience, we''ll give you the opportunity.Please submit a cover letter and resume.
