Thats how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.Job description:Reporting into the Supervisor, Electrical, you will be responsible for providing high-quality electrical and instrumentation services, performed in a timely manner.Your tasks include installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian and mining standards and regulations.Key Accountabilities:Ensure all electrical and instrumentation maintenance is carried out safely and efficiently to maximize reliability and uptime.Meet daily work targets for the work group in accordance with policies and procedures.Prioritize activities, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and be accountable for results.Motivate yourself and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.Maintain good Fieldbus installation standards for ongoing system reliability.Ensure data displayed on the DCS system matches field calibration.Maintain instrumentation resolution and accuracy as per calibration procedures.Perform fault finding on instrumentation control loops.Maintain all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.Work on motor control systems, DCS wiring, and high/low voltage motors and switchgear.Maintain high and low voltage variable speed drives and battery systems for high voltage protection relays and UPS.Conduct substation maintenance and oversee overhead power line from the mine to water intake and booster stations.Qualifications and Skills:Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent.Demonstrated experience in the mining industry.Knowledge of low voltage switchboards, motor controls, starters, and protection systems.Knowledge of high voltage systems is an advantage.Experience with automation systems such as SCADA, PLC, and VSD controllers is an advantage.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and documentation.Valid Class C drivers license.Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug tests.Visit our website and register for instant job alerts at careers.first-quantum.comFollow us for the latest news on LinkedInIf you are already a First Quantum employee with network access, log into First Quantum MINE > Careers to apply internally.
