Senior Quality Assurance EngineerFull-Time 12-month opportunitySalary Range $125,693 - $138,510pa + superLocation flexible across Revenue NSW offices with hybrid working. Regular attendance at ParramattaWe are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in API testing and Automation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our API services. You will work closely with the development and product teams to design and implement automated API tests, debug issues, and ensure quality and reliability of our systems.As a member of the team you will:Design, develop, and execute testcases for Restful APIs and UI.Create test plans test status and summary reports.Build and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs using Rest Assured, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.Manage the use of automated testing for the assigned work in an efficient and productive manner to ensure testing is delivered to quality and within time parameters.Execute functional, non-functional, and regression tests (as applicable)Maintain clear and concise test documentation and contribute to test plans and test strategies.Proactively identify issues and drive improvements in QA processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and quality-first mindsetAbility to prioritize tasks based on risk, deadlines and stakeholder needs and effectively manage conflicting priorities by evaluating business impact.Mentor and support junior QA engineers.Skills and Experience Required:Proficient in popular automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, JUnitProficiency in API testing tools like Postman, Rest AssuredFamiliarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI for automating testing and deployment process.Experience designing and developing automated tests for both functional and non-functional testing (Performance testing).A good understanding of manual testing concepts and experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.Proficient in writing test scripts including the required SQL commands and reference to validating results.Knowledge of enterprise level testing suites such as HP QC, JIRA, Selenium, TFS etc.Test planning and management of testing in large enterprise environments.Demonstrable testing within an Agile delivery model, preferably Scrum.Ability to work to deadlines and balance competing needsWhat we need from youAn up-to-date CV and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role.For enquiries regarding this position, please contact Nimmy Lekshmi via Nimmy.Lekshmi@revenue.nsw.gov.auAbout Revenue NSWRevenue NSWis the states principal revenue management agency.
