The role involves leveraging previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop and fostering a strong safety culture.As the Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include:Overseeing and managing a dedicated workshop supporting Explosive Ordnance ProjectsLeading the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) toolManaging servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the workshopDriving a safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance among all workshop usersProviding technical input to support user requirementsDeveloping or maintaining documentation such as Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Equipment maintenance proceduresPotentially supporting customer training and competency managementTo be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have experience in:Significant manufacturing or production experience leading safety-critical technical operationsCertificate IV in WH&S (preferred)Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environmentExperience leading teams within technical quality management frameworksThe ability to engage positively with teams and stakeholdersApplicants must hold or have recently held an NV1 Australian Defence security clearance.While applications are submitted online, confidential inquiries are welcome and can be directed to Denise Cole via email at DLCole@QinetiQ.com.au.Looking for an Employer with Benefits?At QinetiQ, our competitive remuneration and benefits package supports your career development.
