Here they will draw their previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop, whilst fostering an outstanding safety culture .As the Workshop Manager your responsibilities will include:Oversight and management of a dedicated workshop in support of Explosive Ordnance ProjectsLead the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) toolManage the servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the WorkshopDrive safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance with all workshop usersProvide technical input to support user requirementsDevelop or maintain documentation including Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Equipmentmaintenance proceduresPotential support to customer training and competency managementTo be successful in this role, our preferred candidate with have experience in the following;Significant manufacturing/production experience leading safety-critical technical operationsRelevant trade qualification(s) - certified mechanical/electrical technician (essential)Certificate IV WH&S certification (preferred)Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi discipline workshop environment (essential)Demonstrated experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworksExperience leading improvement processes implementations e.g. Lean, Six SigmaAbility to engage positivelyDue to the nature of the role, applicants must hold or have recently held an NVI Australian Defence security clearanceWhilst applications must be made online, confidential enquiries are welcome and may be directed to Denise Cole via email; DLCole@QinetiQ.com.auLooking for an Employer with Benefits?At QinetiQ, our competitive remuneration and benefits package supports your evolving needs throughout your career.
