Shape the Future of Sustainable Mining at Victory MineralsVictory Minerals is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Environment & Community Advisor to lead the development and implementation of strategies that promote sustainability, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and local communities.This is a newly created position to work closely with our Corporate Services Manager, regulators, community stakeholders, and operational teams to uphold our commitment to responsible mining and our social license to operate.What Youll DoLead the design and implementation of site-wide Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and company policies.Oversee environmental monitoring (surface/groundwater, flora, fauna, noise, dust) and reporting.Liaise with regulators including EPA Victoria, ERR, and local authorities.Drive innovation and continuous improvement in sustainability practices.Community Engagement & Social PerformanceBuild and maintain trusted relationships with local communities, Traditional Owners, and stakeholders.Deliver Victory Minerals Community Engagement Plan and manage cultural heritage plans.Coordinate community investment initiatives and sponsorships.Oversee grievance management and support local development projects.Partner with RAPs to ensure compliance with the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic).Provide mentorship and leadership to the Environment & Community team.Collaborate across departments to embed environmental and community values into operations.Contribute to HSEC risk assessments, incident investigations, and improvement initiatives.ReportingLead the preparation and submission of environmental approvals and statutory reports.Track and report key environmental and social KPIs using data-driven systems.To be successful in this role you will have:Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field.Greater than 7 years experience in similar roles within the mining/resources sector.Deep knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and standards (e.g., EPBC Act, ISO 14001).Proven track record in community engagement, including Indigenous community relations.Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation abilities.High integrity, cultural awareness, and a proactive, safety-first mindset.A team player with a positive, can do attitude and a commitment to making a difference.Why Join Us?At Victory Minerals, we believe that responsible mining means more than just compliance it means fostering genuine partnerships with our communities and protecting the environment for future generations.
