Apply now Job no: 503040Work type: PermanentLocation: RockhamptonCategories: Supply Chain Operations, PurchasingAbout the roleMater Private Hospital Rockhamptonhas an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Officer to join the team in a permanent, full-time basis.The purpose of the Inventory Control Officer role is to provide oversight of inventory and imprest management within the delivery of supply chain operations to the procedural areas within Mater Rockhampton.Supply Chain Operations works with a one team approach to delivering services, and all team members are expected to participate in activities which support improvement and change in the delivery of regional supply chain services including purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, imprest management and customer service.Primary responsibilities of the role will include:Ensure accurate and high-quality inventory control for theatre operations at MaterProcess documentation in D365 and other systems for inventory consumption and cost recoveryPurchase inventory items as required to support Mater Central Purchasing teamConduct regular stocktaking and resolve any discrepancies in Mater owned and vendor inventoryAnalyse and make recommendations to prevent overstocking and financial adjustmentsParticipate in process improvement activities for imprest managementSupport seamless customer service and collaborate on issue resolution within Supply Chain OperationsAbout youTo be successful in your application, you will have the following:Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management preferred but not requiredExperience in inventory control in a large organisationHealthcare inventory control experience, desirableKnowledge of inventory management platforms is necessaryExperience in imprest management processes preferredProficiency in MS Office suite and IT skills requiredUnderstanding of procurement and purchasing processes preferredProactive in monitoring and communicating inventory issuesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environmentStrong customer service skills and ability to meet client expectationsMater is Queenslands largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
