Location: VIC: Western Victoria (Warrnambool, Horsham)On-site parking is provided, and the site is readily accessible via public transportWork for a market leader with a work/life balance, talented & friendly teamOpportunities for training to progress your careerJob DescriptionCater Care Australia seeks a qualified and experienced Chef Manager to assume leadership of the culinary team at our esteemed aged care facility in Hamilton, Victoria.This is a significant opportunity for a highly organised, dedicated professional with a strong background in kitchen management to oversee daily operations and ensure the provision of exceptional dining experiences for our residents.Roster: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM ( 40 hours per week )Key Responsibilities:Direct and manage all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and on-site kitchen operationsControl and optimise food and labor cost managementProcure, organise, and maintain stock inventory through effective ordering and rotation practicesMaintain strict adherence to all food hygiene and safety regulationsLead, mentor, and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and productive environmentSupervise and participate in bulk cooking operationsDistribute meals via tray service as requiredProvide excellent customer service to residentsPrepare and serve texture-modified foods in accordance with individual dietary requirementsDesired Skills and ExperienceRequired Skills and Experience:Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent certificationCurrent Food Safety Supervisor CertificateDemonstrated experience in kitchen operations and/or site managementProven ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team memberStrong leadership and communication abilitiesExtensive experience within the hospitality industryA commitment to maintaining a professional approach to personal appearance and hygieneEmployee Benefits:Competitive salary with salary sacrifice options.Structured leadership development program for professional growth.Access to exclusive discounts at major companies.Support for ongoing training, licensing, and professional accreditations.A professional and supportive work environment.About Cater Care:We have a unique culture that can only be attributed to the people that work for us.
